Welspun Corp Ltd (formerly Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren Ltd), the flagship company of the $3-billion Welspun Group of Mumbai, and one of the world's largest line pipe companies, won new pipe orders worth
700 crore (approximately 120,000 tonnes) from the domestic and international markets. These new orders are likely to be executed in the current year.
With the addition of these orders, the current order book of the company stands at
5,700 crore (around 800,000 tonnes) not excluding the orders being executed in the current quarter.
Welspun CMD B.K. Goenka said, "The company has been consistently adding new orders from the domestic and international markets. The customers' trust in our engineering excellence shall further strengthen our position in the competitive market space.''
