What is the current market-size of India's construction chemicals
sector?
The present market-size of the construction chemicals industry in India is
about
1,700 crore and is rapidly growing at the rate of around 20 per
cent per annum. The demand for construction chemicals is dependent on
the construction industry.
The entry of foreign construction companies and use of foreign
technologies makes good awareness of the importance of construction
chemicals - this has thus enabled some changes in the mindset of Indian
customers. Overall economic growth of the country and thus government
initiative for the huge investment in infrastructure development has
resulted in rapid demand for construction chemicals.
At present, where the end users are not fully aware of the importance and
benefits of construction chemicals, the industry is growing at the rate of 20
per cent per annum.
