Metso will supply a complete set of
mineral processing equipment for a
Greenfield iron ore beneficiation
plant to be built in Saraikela district of
Jharkhand in Eastern India. The value of the
complete plant on delivered basis is some
EUR 15 million.
Metso's delivery includes mining screens,
magnetic separators, ball mills, pressure
filters and various sized slurry pumps. In
addition to equipment supplies, the scope
includes plant design, engineering and
supervision services.
Abhijeet Group's new iron ore processing plant
will produce 1.2 million tons of high-grade
iron ore concentrate per year. The schedule of
the new plant on delivered basis will be 14
months and is scheduled for delivery
completion by March 2013. The order is
included in Metso Mining and Construction
first quarter 2012 orders received.
The company has plans to set up three new
plants with a total steel producing capacity of
10 million tons per year. The proposed plants
will be located in the states of West Bengal,
Jharkhand and Maharashtra, India. The annual
turnover of Abhijeet Group of companies is
approximately EUR 760 million.
